Venez assister à la parade de fin d’année au CMR Saint-Jean!
Le public est invité à assister au défilé le 22 mai au Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean (CMR Saint-Jean).
Le défilé qui marque la fin de l’année académique aura lieu au terrain de parade du CMR Saint-Jean le samedi 22 mai à 10h00. Le Chef d’état-major de la Défense, le Général Walt Natynczyk, présidera la prise d’armes au cours de laquelle seront remis plusieurs prix d’excellence aux élèves-officiers méritants. Si le temps le permet, l’évènement sera rehaussé par un vol à basse altitude d’un avion CF-18 et de deux hélicoptères Griffon.
En cas de pluie, la parade se déroulera dans l’édifice C-16. Les membres des Forces canadiennes sont priés de se présenter en tenue A1.

Come to the End of Year Parade at RMC Saint-Jean!
The public is invited to attend the parade on May 22 at the Royal Military College Saint-Jean (RMC Saint-Jean).
The parade that marks the end of the academic year will be held at the parade square of RMC Saint-Jean on Saturday, May 22 at 10:00 a.m. The Chief of Defense Staff, General Walt Natynczyk, will preside over the ceremonial parade during which there will be an awards presentation to officer cadets. A fly-past of a CF-18 and two Griffon helicopters will mark this event, weather permitting.
In case of inclement weather, the parade will take place in Building C-16. Dress for military members will be 1A.

DMCV – Mess du Saint-Maurice – 30 avril 2010

Le deuxième événement de la journée était un DMCV au Mess St Maurice, le nouveau mess des élèves-officiers. Les examens commencent la deuxième semaine de mai, alors, c’était la dernière occasion de fêter avant la fin d’année académique. Les ancien(nes) ont pris l’opportunité d’offrir aux élèves-officiers un vrai « Dieu merci, c’est vendredi! » La classe d’entrée 1970 a fait un don d’une cloche de navire au mess, et elle attend d’être utilisée pour la première fois. 10386 Charles Cormier a sonné la cloche et les élèves officiers ont apprécié leur premier DMCV! Pour manger avec la bière, le Mess a fourni des hamburgers et des hot dog avec salades. Les élèves-officiers ont porté tabliers et chapeaux de chef, et ils ont travaillé fort derrière les BBQ. Nous nous sommes amusés beaucoup autour du patio pendant la belle température. La plupart d’entre nous, cependant, ne pouvait pas oublier qu’ils étaient dans la chapelle catholique, donc, nous étions sur notre meilleur comportement!

The second event was a Happy Hour at the new Cadet Mess, St Maurice, for the Officer Cadets as they move into final exam routine for this year. The CMR graduating class of 1975 had graciously donated a ship’s bell to the Mess and it was waiting to be rung for the first time. 10386 Charles Cormier did the honours. Hamburgers and hot dogs, salads and popcorn rounded out the dinner menu and the Cadets and ex-Cadets took advantage of the warm weather to enjoy the Mess Patio. Many of the ex-Cadets were visiting St-Maurice for the first time since its re-opening as the Cadet Mess. All were impressed by the additions of the media rooms, billiard rooms and comfortable furniture. Most, however, couldn`t shake the feeling that they were still within the Catholic Chapel and were thus convinced to be on their best behaviour!
