19186 Major Christian Légère (CMR RMC 1994) will retire on 15 June 2010 after 21 years of dedicated and loyal service to the CF and the Communications and Electronics Branch. Major Légère enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1989 under the Regular Officer Training Program. After attending Collège Militaire Royal de St-Jean and Royal Military College in Kingston, he graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Maj Légère has held numerous command, staff and project positions during his career, with SSF Headquarters and Signal Squadron (HQ&Sig Sqn) in Petawawa, Land Force Atlantic Area (LFAA) headquarters in Halifax, Director Land Command Systems Program Management (DLCSPM) in Ottawa, 714 Communications Squadron in Sherbrooke, and with CLS HQ in Ottawa. He has deployed twice for operational tours, in 1995, to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the NATO implementation force (IFOR) and in 1999-2000 in Kosovo at the NATO multinational Kosovo Force headquarters (KFOR HQ). In 2001, Major Légère returned to Royal Military College in Kingston to pursue post-graduate studies. He graduated in September 2003 with a Master’s degree in Applied Sciences – Computer Engineering. Chris has accepted a public service position with DLCSPM as System of Systems Engineering Manager for the Land Command Support System (LCSS) Project. Chris, his wife Katie, and their two boys, Alexandre and Nicholas will remain in the Barrhaven area.

L’Aduc Beaudoin prend sa retraite
Après plus de 35 ans de services loyaux et dévoués envers le Canada, les Forces canadiennes, les opérations aériennes et la Branche A4 maintenance, l’Adjuc Serge Beaudoin commencera son congé de fin service le 2 juillet 2010. L’Adjuc Beaudoin est entré en poste comme Adjudant-chef du Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean en juin 2007.
L’Adjuc Beaudoin et sa conjointe Claudette prévoient se retirer à Clarenceville, au Québec. À court terme, l’Adjuc Beaudoin prévoit travailler sur des projets personnels avant de prendre la décision de se lancer dans une seconde carrière. On leur souhaite à tous les deux une bonne retraite.

After more than 35 years of dedicated and loyal service to our country, the Canadian Forces, air force operations and the A4 Maintenance Branch, CWO Serge Beaudoin will begin retirement leave on July 2, 2010. CWO Beaudoin was appointed to his current position as Chief Warrant Officer of the Royal Military College Saint-Jean in June 2007.
CWO Beaudoin and his spouse, Claudette, plan to retire in Clarenceville, Quebec. In the short term, CWO Beaudoin will work on several personal projects while considering plans for a second career. We all wish them both a healthy and prosperous retirement.
