OTTAWA, Ontario, May 17, 2024 – Boeing has appointed Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Al Meinzinger as president of Boeing Canada and Boeing Canada Operations Ltd., effective June 6, 2024. A distinguished leader and veteran, Meinzinger will report to Dr. Brendan Nelson, president of Boeing Global, and succeeds Charles “Duff” Sullivan who retired earlier this year.
Meinzinger will lead Boeing’s operations in Canada, where the company maintains a significant customer, employee and supplier base.

Al’s extensive aerospace experience and strong relationships will be key to continuing to deliver to our customers in Canada.” said Dr. Brendan Nelson AO, president of Boeing Global. “I want to thank and acknowledge Duff for his significant contribution to Boeing in Canada over the last three years.”
Meinzinger’s career spans over thirty-five years in the Royal Canadian Air Force, including his recent role as the longest-serving Commander in the last 60 years. In addition to his work with the RCAF, Meinzinger served in numerous leadership positions including Director of Strategic Joint Staff, Deputy Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and Commandant of the Royal Military College of Canada. He also served in the United States as a member of NORAD and US Northern Command where he was instrumental in refreshing its national Arctic strategy and in Afghanistan as Canada’s Air Wing Commander, where he oversaw the delivery of air capabilities in theatre.

2024 marks the 105th anniversary of Boeing’s partnership with Canada. With approximately 2,000 employees at 15 locations across the country, Boeing Canada supplies composite parts for all current Boeing commercial airplane models and supports Canadian airlines and the Canadian Armed Forces with products and services.

OTTAWA, Ontario, 17 mai 2024 – Boeing a nommé le lieutenant-général (retraité) Al Meinzinger au poste de président de Boeing Canada et Boeing Canada Operations Ltd, à compter du 6 juin 2024. Leader distingué et vétéran, M. Meinzinger relèvera du Dr Brendan Nelson, président de Boeing Global, et succède à Charles Sullivan qui a pris sa retraite en début d’année.
M. Meinzinger dirigera les activités de Boeing au Canada, où la société dispose d’une base importante de clients, d’employés et de fournisseurs.

La carrière de M. Meinzinger s’étend sur plus de trente-cinq ans au sein de l’Aviation royale canadienne, y compris son rôle récent en tant que commandant ayant eu la plus longue durée de service au cours des 60 dernières années. Outre son travail au sein de l’ARC, M. Meinzinger a occupé de nombreux postes de direction, notamment celui de directeur de l’état-major interarmées stratégique, de commandant adjoint de l’Aviation royale du Canada et de commandant du Collège militaire royal du Canada. Il a également servi aux États-Unis en tant que membre du Commandement de la défense aérospatiale de l’Amérique du Nord (NORAD) et du US Northern Command, où il a joué un rôle déterminant dans l’élaboration de sa stratégie nationale pour l’Arctique, et en Afghanistan en tant que commandant de l’escadre aérienne du Canada, où il a supervisé la mise à disposition de capacités aériennes de théâtre.
