EllisDon has been awarded a $40 million Construction Management contract with the Department of National Defense for the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario. They are currently working on a complete upgrade of the mechanical systems throughout the teaching facility, six buildings in total, which includes classrooms and labs. Exterior cladding work, as part of the building envelope, will improve energy performance. One of the challenges of the project is working around the nuclear reactor located at the school. The project is scheduled for completion in June of 2013.
