RMC Vancouver Branch Golf Day – June 2nd @ Fort Langley GC
Golf Day outing at Fort Langley golf course (9782 McKinnon Crescent, Langley, BC V1M 3V6)
On Sunday, June 2nd with tee times starting at approximately 1:30pm. The format will be foursome Texas scramble to make it as enjoyable and low pressure as possible (total purse will be less than $1M). Family members and friends are welcome to join in if you would like.
Right now I have booked 6 tee times for up to 24 golfers but would like to find out as soon as possible who is interested in order to fine tune the number of tee times. Cost per golfer is $70 plus GST. Carts are available at the course at additional cost.
Following the round, we will retire (hopefully weather permitting) to the veranda deck overlooking the 18th green for post-round libations and dinner ordered from the clubhouse menu. Non-golfing spouses/partners can join us for the social part of the day.

The RMC Unit Fund will be organizing its annual golf tournament at the Garrison Golf and Curling Club (GG&CC) on Wednesday, June 5th starting at 0800 (shotgun start)
For only $35 plus tax and fees, you will get 18 holes of golf, power cart and club rentals (if required and while supplies last). Members of the GG&CC will not be charged to participate in this event. Please contact Alyssa (baird.alyssa@cfmws.com) to receive a discount code so you will not be charged when registering. Registration will close on the 31st of May. Sign-ups will be first-come, first-served. This fun oriented tournament is aimed towards golfers of all skills and abilities.
The tournament will be a four person, best ball format and include longest drive and closest to the pin competitions for both male and female golfers. You can register as an individual or team of two, three or four. Individuals and teams of two and three will be partnered up as best as possible to make full teams of four.
All members of the RMC community are welcomed to participate. Civilian DND employees are reminded to consult with their collective bargaining agreements and local Chain of Command in order to participate. There will be a small awards ceremony for those who wish to attend at the conclusion of the event. More information will be given to those who have signed up. The clubhouse will be open until 1400 for any individuals that wish to purchase lunch after the tournament. The cost of the tournament is $35 plus taxes and fees per individual ($43.15 total). Le tournoi de golf annuel organisé par le Fonds de l’unité du CMR aura lieu au Club de golf et de curling de la Garnison (CGCG) le mercredi 5 juin à partir de 8 h 00 (départs simultanés). Pour la modique somme de 35 $, vous aurez accès à un parcours de 18 trous, à une voiturette et à la location de bâtons (au besoin et selon les disponibilités). L’activité est gratuite pour les membres du CGCG. Vous avez jusqu’au 31 mai pour vous inscrire; premier arrivé, premier servi. Ce tournoi à vocation ludique est destiné aux golfeurs et golfeuses de tous calibres et de tous niveaux.
Le tournoi prendra la forme d’un quatre balles – meilleure balle et comprendra des compétitions du plus long coup de départ et du coup le plus près du drapeau tant pour les golfeuses que pour les golfeurs. Vous pouvez vous inscrire individuellement ou en équipe de deux, trois ou quatre. Les personnes qui s’inscriront individuellement ou par deux ou trois seront jumelées dans la mesure du possible pour former des équipes complètes de quatre.

RMC Alumni Association Ottawa Branch 2024 Golf Tournament – Friday 5 July 2024
The 2023 edition of the RMC Alumni Association – Ottawa Branch golf tournament was an outstanding success. Thanks to all participants & sponsors some $25,000.00 was made available to fund, through the RMC Alumni Association, “Opportunities to Support Excellence” at our military colleges.
“Supporting Excellence” is focused on training and leadership activities, as well as bilingualism and cultural opportunities, that support the Colleges in growing and developing Canada’s future leaders. The Alumni Association’s efforts support and supplement our military colleges’ basic curriculums and training programs well beyond the provided budgets.
Planning for the 2024 edition of the tournament is underway. We hope we can count on your support.

L’édition 2023 du tournoi de golf du Chapitre d’Ottawa de l’Association des Ancien(ne)s des CMRs fut un grand succès. Grâce à la générosité des participants et des commanditaires, nous avons pu remettre une somme de $25,000 à l’Association afin de subventionner des activités de ‘Soutien à l’Excellence’ dans nos collèges militaires.
Ce ‘Soutien à l’Excellence’ vise les activités de formation et de leadership, de même que des opportunités de développement de bilinguisme et culturels offertes par les Collèges pour le développement des leaders Canadiens de demain. L’Association des Ancien(ne)s vient soutenir et ajouter aux efforts déjà mis en œuvre via les curriculums et programmes de formation des collèges militaires, et ce bien au-delà des sommes financées par le MDN.
