The Old Brigade dinner was held on Saturday 14 September at a new location, the former Ambassador Hotel, which was recently acquired by the Hilton DoubleTree. The newly renovated hotel hosted more than 230 guests from the Classes of 1954, 1964, 1974 and the Old Brigade entry class 1979.
The evening kicked off with an hour of mingling and then moved into the formal part of the evening’s events which included Marching in the Recruit Class, led by Class of 1979 Secretary Rich Gimblett, and the Recruit Welcoming Ceremony led by OB Adjutant Peter Avis, also from the Class of 1979.
The formal portion of the evening events included the Loyal Toast provided by Nik Garito (class of 1979), the Toast to the Old 18 provided by Peter Avis (Old Brigade Adjutant, Class of 1979), the Toast to the Colleges provided by Walt Natynczyk (Class of 1979), the Toast to the Fallen provided by Austen Cambon (Class Secretary 1954), a speech by Cadet Wing Commander OCdt Talarico, and the Roll Call.
It was an excellent evening reconnecting with Classmates and enjoying a fabulous meal.
