Should auld acquaintance be forgot?
A full-house of members, family and friends were on hand last Friday at the Senior Staff Mess to see a number of members – both military & civilian mugged out. It included 14 or so military staff who are moving on to new challenges including the commandant, Commodore Bill Truelove, who was mugged out by MGen Daniel Gosselin, and COS, Commander Darren Rich.
Four well known, long-time and highly respected professors are retiring: Dr. Van Tam Bui, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering; Dr Jane Errington, Dean of Arts; Dr William T. Thompson, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and Dr Leslie G.I. Bennett, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Our handy rookie photographer, Alex Zaporzan was able to capture the mood of the day.
In addition to the usual mug out presentations; there was a great meal served.
The first-class event was run under the leadership of the PMC, Major Bernadette Myslicky. Entertainment Chair, Captain Matthew Brndt did the introductions and kept all the timings right on schedule. Quite a feat!
The great crowd, fine food, slick organization all proved to be a winning combination.
