From the LinkedIn page of 20754 Chris Haines, Class of 1997:

“I just want thank everyone who has reached out with support and prayers for my daughter Grace. If you are not aware, she was hit by a car while out for a run on Monday evening. The article below has more details, but she is still in intensive care in an induced coma following emergency brain surgery on Tuesday.

We have everything we need right now, so we only ask for positive thoughts. If anyone really wants to help, the Lion’s Gate Hospital in North Vancouver has been amazing, so we always encourage donations to their foundation.

And finally, Grace was an avid weightlifter, so some friends from the fitness community have started a #liftingforGrace hashtag. Consider posting a picture or video on you lifting any weight at all on whatever social media you use. When my little girls wakes up, I will show all the people who were lifting weights for her while she couldn’t.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris and his family.  We wish Grace a speedy recovery. #liftingforGrace

My best wishes to Chris Haines and his family in this very difficult time. I am sure all of us will remember Grace in our thoughts and prayers. We are with Grace and her family in spirit, and we pray that she will enjoy a full and speedy recovery, and a long and happy life after that.
