While the Royal Military Colleges of Canada Alumni Association welcomes the report, the depth and breadth of analysis it contains warrants careful consideration, and we are still reviewing the details.

Opportunity to help the RMC Alumni Association – Request for Focus Group Participants for Museum Feasibility Study
The RMC Alumni Association has committed to provide philanthropic support for the Royal Military Colleges Museum Corporation’s (RMCMC) construction and operation of a new museum that will showcase the history and achievements of the Canadian Military Colleges and its alumni.
The museum will be located on the grounds of the college in Kingston, Ontario, and will feature interactive exhibits, artifacts, memorabilia, and educational programs. We know the museum will be a huge source of pride and inspiration for current and future students, staff, faculty, alumni, and visitors.

Leadership in the North: Investing in Canada’s Future Leaders
Beyond military training, this experience fostered meaningful cultural exchange. The students engaged with the Cree Nation community, participating in local events and gaining a deeper appreciation for Indigenous traditions and perspectives. This exposure not only broadened their worldviews but also enhanced their ability to lead with empathy and understanding.

Celebrating 40 and 45 Years of Trailblazing Women at the Canadian Military Colleges
A military education is tough by design. For the first women to receive a military education at the Canadian Military Colleges it featured extra complexities. They entered a predominantly male environment, with some fellow cadets and even instructors who didn’t feel they should be there. They had to be tough-minded and resilient and work extra hard to prove that they belonged. They were true trailblazers, breaking ground for the generations that followed.

As part of a Canadian War Museum initiative, “In Their Own Voices,” aimed at creating accounts of veteran experience after war or military service, Dr. Howard Coombs (3 Commando 1989-1991) is researching the ongoing efforts made by Canadian Airborne Regiment members to preserve the “Airborne brotherhood” after the 1995 disbandment. Key research questions aim to outline the idea of the “Airborne Brotherhood” and how that spirit has been preserved.
