3834, Bill Broughton, CMDRE (Ret), Class of ‘57, won two silver medals. six bronze medals and one fourth (five were individual and three relays) at the national Canadian Masters Swimming Championships in the 75-79 age category on 17-20 May in Ottawa. He’s a former RRMC and RMC swim team member and currently swims for the Nepean Masters Swim Club. At the meet he met some RMC swim team members who seemed shocked that this white-haired, balding ex-cadet was still at it.

13601 Claude Brulé has been the Vice President Academic, Algonquin College since August 2012 where he is responsible for all of the academic Institutes, Schools, Faculties, and associated services, the International Education Centre, the Applied Research and Innovation department, and the Corporate Training portfolio.
Prior to that, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Trades at Algonquin College (2007-2012), responsible for the School of Advanced Technology, the Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence, and the Heritage Institute, a rural campus in Perth, Ontario. Prior to that, he was the Academic Chair of the Information and Communications Technology Department (formerly the Computer Studies Department) since joining the College in August 1999. During that time period, Claude has led several large projects and initiatives at either the Faculty or College level. His most significant achievements have been related to his involvement, as the main point of contact for the user group, on three major high performance building infrastructure projects, including the $79M, approx. 200,000sqft Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence, a uniquely green, architecturally iconic complex designed to the exacting standards of LEED platinum (certification pending).
Prior to joining Algonquin College, he was an officer in the Canadian Forces, in the Air Force occupational branch of Communication and Electronics Engineering in a career that spanned twenty-three years. He graduated from the Royal Military College in Kingston in 1982 with a Bachelor degree in Engineering Physics and again in 1990, with a Master’s degree of Science in Mathematics. Among his many tours of duty over the years, he was an instructor at the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics (CFSCE) from 1985 to 1987, and later on, the Senior Staff Officer for Strategic Planning and the Chief of Staff of the same school from 1993 to1997. Between his two tours at CFSCE, he lectured in the Mathematics and Computer Science department as an assistant professor at the Royal Military College from 1989 to 1993. He is a graduate of the one-year Canadian Forces Command and Staff program from the Canadian Forces College in Toronto (1998). His last tour of duty, prior to retiring from the Canadian Forces in 1999 at the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel was with the Directorate of Aerospace Engineering – Radar and Communications Systems of ADM (Mat) in Ottawa where he was responsible for third line depot and contract maintenance agreements for the North Warning System assets under Canadian jurisdiction, as well as all ground navigation aids and ground-to-air communications systems at Canadian Forces airfields. 18891 Marc Rossiter – Class of ’93 has been living Cypress TX which is a suburb of Houston for the past ten years. He is the general manager of Enerflex for the USA, a Canadian oil and gas services company headquartered in Calgary.
He and Tara (Queen’s ‘93) are the very proud and happy parents of two children – Henry (14) and Ella (12).
Marc has taken up cycling, a healthy hobby in recent years and can be spotted cycling regularly – on many of the roads in South Texas year round.
