Terry Culbert presented Royal Military College Museum Curator Ross McKenzie with one of his acrylic paintings on the 9th of January, 2010. The painting was one of two 12×48-inch works Terry had created, featuring the Military College.
This particular painting was inspired by looking at the College from a Fort Henry hill. Terry’s painting hangs in the hallway beside the door of the Registrar’s Office in the Mackenzie Building.
Terry’s second painting of the Royal Military College depicts MV Cordite, a research boat chugging past the College on the Cataraqui River. With a father and three uncles in the Canadian military, Terry grew up having great respect and interest in the men and women of our armed services. Terry, a retired television news journalist, author and artist and his life-partner Barb Hogenauer, also an artist, have a studio-gallery named County Studio in their home in Prince Edward County, Ontario. www.countystudio.ca www.terryculbert.ca
