RMC Case Summaries
Release
At issue is whether the grievor’s release from the Canadian Forces (CF) and the Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP) programme was warranted. Also at issue is whether the grievor was entitled to receive an RMC degree. Following numerous violations of the rules and regulations at the RMC, the grievor was placed on probation four years after he enrolled in the ROTP programme. The year after, the grievor allegedly assaulted another cadet following a night of drinking; he was still on probation at the time. After recommendation, the grievor was released for failing the military pillar of the ROTP programme and unacceptable behaviour.
