GALA LEADERSHIP 60 – SAINT-JEAN – 20 NOVEMBER 2012
On 13 November 1952, the then Governor General of Canada, the Rt Hon Vincent Massey presided over a parade that officially opened the Collège militaire royal in de Saint-Jean, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec. The illustrious history of this venerable institution had begun. Since that day 60 years ago, the College and its Officer Cadets have witnessed many changes in Canada, the Canadian Forces and in Québec.
This year, 2012, marks the 60th anniversary of that parade and the official opening of the College. We are celebrating this anniversary throughout the academic year with many special events including parades, Cadet performances, and symposiums. Our celebration culminates with the Gala Leadership 60, a black tie dinner to be held on 20 November 2012 at the Dextraze building on the Royal Military College Saint-Jean campus.
On behalf of the Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Peter MacKay and Mr Geoff Molson, President of the Montreal Canadiens it is my pleasure to invite you to this spectacular event.
