Calling all ex-Cadets:
Did you start your military college career at CMR?
Were your first days in Fours and Battledress spent on the banks of the Richelieu River?
Did your boots “Pas-cadencé march” on the Saint-Jean Parade Square before anywhere else?
If so ….. read on:
The Royal Military College Saint-Jean is joining the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Among the many events related to this special occasion is a major revitalization of the North section of the College Campus. This project is called “Heritage Lane” or “Le Chemin patrimonial” and is well underway.
But there is still time to immortalize that young, raw recruit you once were! Along the Rue des Remparts is a pedestrian walkway that will be bordered by commemorative stones that will tell the story of all who came before. The Cadets of today’s RMC Saint-Jean use this walkway to leave the College campus, enter the R22eR Park and follow the new green space into old Saint-Jean. Add your name to this illustrious path and know that your legacy will live on forever.
These stones are almost exactly the same as the ones at the Memorial Arch at RMCC in Kingston and the Memorial Plaza at Royal Roads University. The stones are made of granite and can be engraved to include your name, college number and the military college(s) you attended:
Your stone can be laid with those of other members of your class – or teammates – or simply along the pathway with other ex-Cadets who shared the same experience.
Half of the very reasonable cost of $300 for these stones will be a charitable donation and thus, you will be provided with a tax receipt for $150.

Vos bottes ont-elles foulé le terrain de parade de Saint-Jean avant tout autre endroit?
Si oui…ce qui suit s’adresse à vous :
Le Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean se joint aux célébrations du 350ième anniversaire de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Une des activités de cette célébration est la revitalisation de l’entrée nord du Collège où un chemin patrimonial est en voie de création.
Il est encore temps d’immortaliser la jeune recrue que vous étiez! Le long de la rue des Remparts, nous allons construire une allée piétonne bordée de pierres commémoratives soulignant ceux et celles qui l’ont empruntée. Les élèves-officiers du CMR Saint-Jean d’aujourd’hui utilisent cette allée pour quitter le Collège, rejoindre le parc du R22eR et entrer dans le vieux Saint-Jean. Ajoutez votre nom à cette illustre allée, et votre héritage perdurera pour toujours.
Les pierres sont très semblables à celles de l’arche mémoriale au CMRC de Kingston et de la place mémoriale de Royal Roads. Elles sont en granite et peuvent être gravées de votre nom, numéro de collège, et des Collèges que vous avez fréquentés.
Votre pierre peut être placée avec celles de votre classe ou de votre équipe, ou simplement le long de l’allée avec les autres élèves-officiers; vous décidez.
La moitié du prix très abordable de 300$ pour chaque pierre sera déductible d’impôt en tant que don charitable; vous recevrez donc un reçu pour impôt de 150$.
