5690 Douglas A Caldwell QC (CMR RMC ‘63) is a lawyer
with Patterson Law in Truro, Nova Scotia. His main areas of practice
are commercial litigation and administrative law. He also plays a key
role in the firm’s Tax Planning/Commercial Litigation team, and on
insurance audits and assignments and in our Construction Law Group. He
has authored an extensive list of articles, contributed to legal
textbooks and was recently selected to be published in Lexpert,
Canada’s legal directory as one of Canada’s top lawyers. He earned a
B.A. from Royal Military College in 1963 and studied at College
Militaire Royal, St. Jean, Que. (1958-1961). He earned a LL.B.
(Dalhousie University, 1970) and was admitted to the Bar in Nova
Scotia in 1970. Before his legal career, he had a distinguished career
as an Officer for the Royal 22nd Regiment (the “Van Doos”) in the
Canadian Army.

9869 Clément C Fortin (CMR RMC ‘73) is the director of the
Mechanical Engineering department at École Polytechnique Montréal
(Canada) and a professor at that institution since 1987. He obtained
his Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Royal Military College of
Canada in 1973, his Master’s of Applied Science Degree in
Aeronautical Engineering from the Institute of aerospace Studies at
the University of Toronto in 1975 and his PhD in Mechanical
Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada in 1985. He
is the founder of Polyplan Technologies Inc., a leading Manufacturing
Process Management package recently acquired by PTC to extend their
current PLM solution offerings. Clément Fortin is a member of the
Professional Engineering Order in Québec (OIQ), the Society of
Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the American Society of Mechanical
Engineers (ASME).

10541 Terry D Cuthbert (RMC ‘75) was appointed National President of The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada in November 1992, where he served until May 1, 2005. He currently serves as coordinator of the Fellowship French Region’s “Expansion of the Gospel” Commission and directs its Church Planting Task Force. He is also coaching church planting missionaries in various parts of the world. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario in 1975 while leading an active Bible study group on campus. After getting his “wings” as navigator in Winnipeg in 1976, he served on CF-101 fighter interceptors at Bagotville, Quebec. Terry lived in the Chicoutimi area where he helped to plant two French-speaking churches in the region in the late 1970’s. Terry married Elaine Cotnoir in 1978. They left in September 1980 for Seminary in London, Ontario for three years and Deerfield, Illinois for one. Terry completed his studies with a Master of Theology degree. He was called as Associate Pastor to a French-speaking Fellowship church in Quebec City in 1984. The church grew significantly, new churches were started and a local Bible school was founded. In 1989, Terry became the Regional Director for the Fellowship French Region. Terry and Elaine have two adult children, both living in Ontario: Caroline in Kingston and Joel in Cambridge.

11199 Jacques St-Laurent (CMR RMC ‘76) is President, Bell
Helicopter Textron Canada and Chairman of the Board Aéro Montréal. He
began his career in the Canadian Armed Forces. In 1976, he obtained
his Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Royal
Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario. He joined Bell
Helicopter Textron Canada in 1984 as a fl ight-test engineer. He was
named vice-president of engineering in 1998. In 1995, he completed
his master’s degree in business administration at the Université de
Québec à Montréal. He was appointed president of Bell Helicopter
Textron Canada in November 2002. In November 2004, Mr. St-Laurent was
awarded the Prix Performance Gestionnaire of the École des sciences
de la gestion (ESG) de l’UQAM during its 14th Prix Performance du

12206 Mr Dave D.M. Marshall (RMC ‘79) has been Executive Director of
the South East Community Care Access Centre in Kingston, Ontario
since February 2002. Prior to that he was the Director Service
Delivery Systems at the CCAC for the Eastern Counties. He served as
the Vice President Corporate Development at Chedoke-McMaster
Hospital. Earlier in his career he served in the Canadian Forces
Health Services where he worked as both the Chief Information Officer
and then the Chief of Finance and Administration to the Surgeon
General. He held other positions in the military in hospital
administration and professional education. David holds a
baccalaureate in Political Science from the Royal Military College of
Canada and a Master of Science from the University of British
Columbia in Health Services Planning and Administration. He was
awarded the Robert Wood Johnson Award as the graduating student most
likely to make a noteworthy contribution to the field of health
administration through the Canadian College of Health Services
Executives in 1990. Recently, David has served as a member of the
Provincial Planning Working Group steering the re-alignment of CCACs
