Looking back 10 years!

The 2005 – 06 hockey Paladins billed themselves as ‘The Hardest Working Team in the OUA’. Whether or not they were is, of course, very subjective. This was the last season the league would play a 24 game schedule. The OUA finally got in step with the other two leagues in the country and went to 28 games one year later.
The Paladins regular OUA regular season record: 24 GP – 7 W – 12 L – 5 T.
This was the last RMC hockey team to make the OUA playoffs. They lost in the first round series to UQTR in two straight games: 7-2 and 6-1. Interesting to note that in the 7-2 game played at UQTR, Roman Srutek scored two first period goals for the Paladins who led 2-1 after the first period. In the 6-1 loss, Adam Purdy scored the lone RMC marker.
The result of the 75th West Point / RMC hockey game in 2006 was a 3-3 draw, and the game was played at the Memorial Center. Nick Cregan scored a power play goal fairly late in the third period to tie the game.
