The newest inductees into the RMC Athletic Wall of Distinction will be honoured in a virtual ceremony on Thursday, February 25, at 7:00 PM Eastern. Friends, fans, and family, as well as the wider RMC and sporting communities, are invited to watch the video presentation in its entirety on the Paladins Facebook and YouTube channels.

The event will be hosted by a Paladins varsity athlete, and feature speeches from Bill Oliver, Marilyne Lafortune, and Steve Molaski, in addition to a welcoming address from outgoing RMC Commandant, BGen Sebastien Bouchard.

Oliver and Lafortune make up the class of 2020, whose in-person induction was cancelled at the onset of the pandemic last March.

Steve Molaski, a 2019 inductee who was unable to attend his year’s event, is the keynote speaker.

Oliver, a former Director of Athletics at RMC, is being inducted in the builder category for a career of dedicated service to sport, and decades of support to athletics at the College and beyond.

Lafortune’s skill in fencing led the Paladins to three consecutive OUA banners, on top of her individual success. During her time at RMC, she was also named to the Canadian senior national team.

Molaski, who was also inducted in the athlete category, holds the all-time points record in the RMC hockey program, in addition to his Major Junior and CAF Sports legacies.

Three outstanding athletes/builders. Congratulations to all.

Bill Oliver is a prince of a man, who spent his life to develop athletes and provide opportunities for them to grow. I witnessed this on many occasions from the the athletic perspective and also in the military. Richly deserved on many levels.
