Who am I?

- I was born in England in 1908.
- My family moved to Ottawa, Ontario where I attended at the Collegiate Institute.
- I studied at the Provisional School of Engineering of the Royal Military College in Kingston.
- I continued my education at the Ottawa Technical School of the Royal Canadian Academy of Fine Arts. I also studied mechanical engineering at London University.
- I spent a five-year apprenticeship as an engraver at the Canadian Bank Note Company, during which time I was sent to New York City to study drawing under George Bridgman. My engraving of Elie Loizeau is in the collection of National Archives Canada.
- In 1945 I moved to Larchmont, New York, to work for the American Bank Note Company.
- I joined the United States Bank Note Company in 1962 as Vice-President of Research and Development, and retired in 1973.
- I was also the inventor of an armoured tank periscope.
- I sometimes signed my name using a mirror impression signature. See, for example the American Bank Note Company essay die proof of the UN Emblem (c. 1958).
- I died in 1989.
