RMC Club of Canada – President’s Award

The President’s award is given to someone who has made a special and significant contribution to The RMC Club. This year was exceptional with two awards being presented.

On 19 September, during the St Jean reunion weekend, Past President of the Club and the Club representative on the RMC St Jean Board of Governors, 6777 Michel Charron, presented the President’s award to H17090 Hélène Ladouceur in recognition of her 35 years of volunteer service to both the CMR Ex-Cadet Club, and following its disbandment, to the RMC Club.

Hélène has decided to retire from her work with the ex-cadets and the Club, although she will continue to assist the CMR Foundation in their work

Last week at the Ottawa Branch Dinner, Immediate Past President, 6776 Tim Sparling presented E3161 Victoria Edwards with the 2008 President’s Award. Victoria has been a three year volunteer with e-Veritas. She has contributed significantly to the popularity of this electronic newsletter. Her regular contributions mainly include but are not restricted to: Who am I? Where are they now? Ex cadets in the news. She is also well known and highly respected for carrying out very professional and interesting interviews with past and current college staff personnel.

The extraordinary volunteer support provided by Victoria has ensured that e-Veritas remains relevant and popular with many members of the RMC community.

Congratulations to both Hélène and Victoria.
