RMC Varsity Men’s and Women’s Running Team Coach (Contract Position)
The Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) is seeking a highly-motivated and organized individual to serve as the head coach of its varsity running team. Under the direction of the Varsity Manager, the Head Coach is responsible for the continuous development of the varsity running team through coaching and administration.
Duration of position:
Early August to end of March
Weekly time commitment:
4 nights per week for practices, plus travel to competition. Travel costs for competition to be covered by RMC Athletics
Qualifications:
* Current NCCP Level 2 coaching certification preferred
* Bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education, Recreation, or in a related field, or Equivalent experience
* Proven success at competitive middle or long distance running a desirable asset
Language requirement: English essential, bilingualism (French / English) a strong asset.
Salary: Compensation (honorarium, without benefits) to be negotiated, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Entraîneur de l’équipe de course à pied universitaire masculine et féminine du CMR (Poste contractuel)
Le Collège militaire royal (CMR) du Canada est à la recherche d’une personne hautement motivée et organisée pour le poste d’entraîneur-chef de l’équipe de course à pied universitaire. Sous la direction du directeur des sports universitaires, l’entraîneur-chef veille au développement continu de l’équipe de course à pied universitaire en entraînant l’équipe et en accomplissant des tâches administratives.
Période visée par le poste :
Du début d’août à la fin de mars.
Engagement hebdomadaire :
Quatre soirs par semaine pour l’entraînement, plus le temps consacré aux déplacements liés aux compétitions. Les frais de déplacement aux compétitions sont payés par le Département des sports du CMR.
Qualifications :
* Certificat de niveau 2 du Programme national de certification des entraîneurs (préférable)
* Baccalauréat en éducation physique et en santé ou en loisirs ou dans un domaine connexe, ou expérience connexe
* Expérience à la course de distance moyenne ou de longe distance un atout
Exigences linguistiques : La maîtrise de l’anglais est essentielle. Le bilinguisme (français et anglais) constitue un atout.
Salaire : Rémunération (salaire, sans avantages sociaux) à négocier et selon l’expérience et les compétences.

Historians find Kingston Cup
The two had long suspected the Manitoba military base as the trophy’s hideout but could never authenticate same. Fitsell wrote a letter to the base in 1997 inquiring about the cup. He also included some background material. In a reply, the retired newspaperman was politely thanked for his interest and given a Polaroid snapshot of the unpolished cup — but no indication as to where, how or even if the piece was on display inside the sprawling museum. On past trips to Western Canada, Grenda twice popped into the museum only to ‘cup’ away empty each time
