Kerry MacLean hired as Women’s Volleyball Head Coach

The Royal Military College of Canada is excited to announce the hiring of Kerry MacLean as head coach of its women’s volleyball team. MacLean comes to RMC with a wealth of experience, having coached at both the Club and Provincial levels over the past thirty years. He also founded and served as President of the Maverick Volleyball Club (Ottawa, ON), which has grown into one of the largest and most respected clubs in Canada.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to work as part of the athletics department, in an institution that is renowned for molding the future leaders of Canada”, said MacLean. “It’s my sincere hope that by representing RMC with distinction as a team, we can convince more quality young women to embrace this opportunity to serve”.

MacLean steps in for Carolyn Welden, who resigned from RMC earlier this summer. He officially takes over the team on August 19th.

The mission of the Royal Military College of Canada, Canada’s Defence University, is to produce officers with the mental, ethical, physical and linguistic capabilities required to lead with distinction in the Canadian Forces.
