Sandhurst was started in 1967 when RMAS presented West Point with a British Officer’s sword to use as the prize for a competition to promote military excellence.

RMC Kingston won the competition in 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2016 and was only 2 points off of the win in 2024.

In 2024 both RMC Kingston and RMC Saint-Jean competed in the competition being labeled Canada-Kingston and Canada -Saint-Jean.  Team Canada performed exceptionally well in the 2-day competition.

RMC placed 2nd overall only 2 points away from the winner USMA – Black.  RMC Saint-Jean placed 5th overall tying A3 -Anacondas with 1316 points out of 48 teams.

The RMC Sandhurst Teams are supported through the generosity of the Classes of 1964 and 1969.  Their continued support truly makes the difference.
