A Preview Into Next Semester from the Incoming Top 5
As the end of the Winter 2014 semester approaches, the Cadet Wing is preparing to welcome the new Top 5 for the Fall 2014 semester. The incoming Top 5 have shared their thoughts on their expectations for next semester.

As I have been selected to be the new Cadet Wing Commander, I really look forward to working with the new Top 5 in order to lead the Cadet Wing. My goal for the Fall 2014 semester will be to enhance the professionalism and autonomy of the Cadet Wing, by improving the communication of the intent, and by maintaining a good level of motivation and moral.
While at RMCC, it is important to seek out leadership opportunities, as each of them will be a learning experience that will allow you to enhance your leadership capabilities. I am very happy with the upcoming Barslate, and I am looking forward to working with them in order to achieve my objectives.
Les expériences de leadership que j’ai apprises durant le POPA 2013 en tant que COMSEC, et en tant que Capitaine de l’équipe Sandhurst 2014, vont certainement m’aider à remplir mon rôle en tant que COMA.
Le début de la période d’examens approche, et en même temps, la date de la parade de graduation! Je souhaite à tous du succès dans vos examens, et je tiens à féliciter la Classe de 2014 pour son travail au cours de la dernière année.

After spending three years at the college I can say, without hesitation, that I have contributed my fair share of complaints. As a member of the incoming Top 5, I will now have the opportunity to work towards improving some of the issues that I have seen while progressing through the college. RMCC is only what you put into it. The more people involve themselves in the college, the more they will get out of the experience; I think this is an important point for every Senior Barslate to stress. As DCWC, I will be accountable for a variety of responsibilities that directly influence the future of the Cadet Wing. It is an exciting prospect to be working alongside those who are equally as motivated to improve the functioning of the college. There is a lot of potential for positive change at RMCC; working towards attainable goals is a challenge that I look forward to in the coming Fall semester.

C’est un honneur d’avoir été choisi pour le poste d’INSTRA et de pouvoir travailler avec cette équipe dynamique et diversifiée. On sent déjà une complicité se former au sein de la nouvelle équipe de commandement et une hâte de remplir nos nouveaux postes.
Un des défis de l’équipe de commandement sera de bien implémenter les changements qui ont eu lieu cette année, surtout ceux qui prendront effet à notre retour. Il est important d’assurer que l’escadre comprenne l’intention derrière leur mise en place en s’assurant d’une bonne communication à tous les niveaux. Nous sommes prêts à relever ce défi et tous les autres qui nous attendront l’an prochain. Au Top 5 sortant, merci pour votre bon travail ce semestre et bonne chance dans vos carrières respectives!

Étant donné que le semestre d’automne est synonyme de FYOP au CMRC, une des tâches importantes pour le CWAdO sera d’assurer la bonne formation pour les premières années pour l’aspect administratif des Forces. De plus, il faudra s’assurer que les nouveaux leaders juniors soient à jour et familier avec la procédure des PDRs et leur importance une fois rendu à l’unité. Un des plus gros défi sera sans doute de maintenir un niveau d’intérêt dans l’escadre pour ce qui est administration puisque c’est une partie très importante du travail d’officier. C’est un défi excitant qui m’attend dès l’automne prochain et j’ai hâte d’y faire face.

As the incoming CWOpsO of the Fall 2014 semester I just want for the college to run smoothly. To that end I would like to focus on communication and transparency. I believe it is important for the lower echelons of the Cadet Wing to feel comfortable with passing information upward. I truly want to facilitate a discourse between myself, the Cadet Divisional Operations Officers (CDOpsO), and the Cadet Squadron Operations Officers (CSOpsO) when planning events and operations. I look at my role as CWOpsO as one to ensure that the Cadet Wing understands the taskings that we will have to perform throughout the upcoming semester as well as the intent behind them. I will work with my colleagues in the Top 5 in order to ensure that issues, when they arise, are dealt with reasonably and efficiently.
