Cadet Wing Leadership Officially Hands Over the Reigns
As the Fall Semester comes to an end, the senior leadership of the Cadet Wing is in transition. The new barslate will not officially be on the job until January, when they will have a number of workshops to prepare them for their roles, but the official handover of responsibility for the Wing has already occurred. 25586 OCdt (IV) Brenden Clark, the outgoing Cadet Wing Commander, officially handed over that responsibility to 25888 OCdt (IV) Joseph Martin, the incoming CWC this past Saturday, Dec 15.

College NCMs Wrap Up Season of Christmas Dinners
It’s another Christmas tradition at the College. This past Wednesday, in the formal side of the Cadet Mess in Yeo Hall, the Non-Commissioned Members of the College had their Christmas Dinner. Present were NCMs from all departments of the College, as well many from the Canadian Defence Academy (CDA), and RMCC’s Holding Platoon. The members had the chance to relax in the laid back atmosphere as they were served the Officers and Senior NCOs of the College. The traditional turkey meal was a welcome opportunity to unwind before the Christmas leave period begins, and, as College Commandant BGen Eric Tremblay put it, to spend time with the College family before spending time with our individual ones.

Cadets See the Light at the End of the Tunnel
It was an exodus of Cadets this past week as those lucky enough to be finished their exams early headed home. The unlucky ones whose exam schedule kept them on campus until the bitter end endured more long, tedious hours in the exam hall before finding their freedom late this past Friday. Cadets, along with most of the rest of the College, are now off until January.

Commandant, Principal Show Their Appreciation to College Staff
This past Thursday afternoon, the Staff of the College, civilian and military alike, gathered in the formal side of the Cadet Mess one last time before the Christmas break. College Commandant, BGen Eric Tremblay, and Principal Dr. Joel Sokolsky took the time to reflect on the road RMCC has travelled in the last year. “It’s been a difficult year,” BGen Tremblay said, “but I’ve always known that I can count on each and every one of you, and I thank you for that.” Dr. Sokolsky echoed the Commandant’s thoughts, saying, “RMC, with all its different components, is a unique place to work, and also a slightly crazy one.” Both also took the opportunity to encourage everyone to spend time with their families and enjoy the holidays.
25350 OCdt (IV) Mitchell Newman, one of the few Cadets present, presented three cards to the staff on behalf of the Cadet Wing, and Lt Besmir Shurdha, Staff Officer Careers, received his promotion to Captain from BGen Tremblay.
