On Sunday 26 June 2022 10263 Don Lovell competed in the Masters IV Age 70+ Power Lifting Competition.

Under the watchful eye of his number one teammate, his wife Charmaine, Don set 5 new Nationals Records:

 LIFT COMPETITION 
1. Squat – 298 pounds
2. Bench – 144 pounds
3. Deadlift – 385 pounds
4. Total – 827 pounds
BENCH ONLY COMPETITION 
5. Bench – 144 pounds
Congrats Don on proving age is just a number !

    Congratulations Don! This is an extraordinary feat for any age, much less 70! Like others who have commented, I am very grateful for your sharing this news since it truly inspires me to consider a meaningful fitness goal as I am eyeing that milestone just a few short years away – perhaps something a little less ambitious ;o). However, like you, I have embraced the notion that we must be in shape to face old age with daily stretching and exercise, and you have provided remarkable proof.
