Free Movie Screening Event “Fallen Heroes: Their Journey Home!”
More than 40,000 Canadian Armed Forces members served in Afghanistan over the 14-year campaign. Very few Canadians understand why we were in Afghanistan and why it was important, yet it was Canada’s longest war. Fallen Heroes is the template for a 10-part documentary series on the war in Afghanistan preserving this little-known history for future generations.

They Proudly Served – LCol (Ret’d) 10386 Chas Cormier
Charles Cormier discovered an interest in military operations in high school. After a classroom presentation of the Canadian Armed Forces Officer Training Plan, he enlisted in the Reserves at the age of 16. At 18, he transferred to the Regular Force and began his studies at the Royal Military College St-Jean. “I didn’t want to put financial stress on my parents.”

Yuna Hur thought that after high school, she would pursue her education in fashion management to become a fashion entrepreneur. She had even applied to study fashion management in the United States. Her life took an unexpected turn after joining her friends on a visit to the CAF Recruitment centre.
