Due to the generosity of the RMC Foundation, myself and a dozen other officer-cadets had the opportunity to go to Montreal to see William Shakespeare’s Richard III and to Ottawa for “Les noces de Figaro.”

These activities were a wonderful opportunity for all of us to broaden our culture.
During the bus ride, the professors explained the historical context of these two masterpieces, increasing the group’s interest in and understanding of the plays.
The RMC Foundation is essential for enabling officer cadets to participate in all kind of activities such as touring the battlefield of Europe or attending conferences throughout Canada and the United States.
As an officer cadet, almost every time I went somewhere or did something that was outside of the usual activities mandated by RMCC, the RMC Foundation played a big role in making it possible.
I would like to give a special thanks to everyone who contributes to the RMC Foundation. I am now looking forward to becoming a member of the Foundation myself to give back to the organization and to help promote excellence at RMCC.

En raison de la générosité de la fondation des CMR, moi-même et une douzaine élèves officiers avons eu l’occasion d’aller voir Richard III de William Shakespeare à Montréal ainsi que Les noces de Figaro à Ottawa. Ces activités ont été une merveilleuse occasion pour nous tous d’élargir notre culture. D’ailleurs, les professeurs ont profité du trajet en autobus pour nous expliquer le contexte historique de ces deux chefs d’œuvres.
La Fondation des CMR joue un rôle très important en permettant aux élèves officiers de participer à toutes sortes d’activités : voyage en Europe pour visiter les champs de bataille, aller à des conférences partout au Canada et aux États-Unis, etc.
En tant qu’élève officier, presque chaque fois que je suis allé quelque part, ou fais quelque chose qui était en dehors des activités habituelles mandatées par CMRC, la fondation des CMR a joué un grand rôle en rendant cela possible. Je voudrais dire un grand merci à tous ceux qui contribuent à la fondation des CMR. Je suis maintenant impatient de devenir un membre de la fondation et de contribuer moi-même afin de redonner ce que je reçois et pour aider à promouvoir l’excellence au CMRC.
