Le Tour des Collèges is gaining momentum—and the cyclists are almost at 50% of their $150,000 fundraising goal! As the team heads into the home stretch, this is the moment for alumni, classmates, families, and supporters to rally behind the riders and help push this remarkable commemorative campaign across the finish line.
In September 2026, alumni from Canada’s military colleges will take to the road for Le Tour des Collèges, a 500-kilometre commemorative ride from RMC Saint-Jean to RMC via Ottawa, celebrating two historic milestones: the 150th anniversary of the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) and the 75th anniversary of Royal Military College Saint-Jean (RMCSJ). Every donation helps honour this legacy while strengthening what these Colleges make possible for future generations.
With the cyclists now approaching the halfway mark, the campaign is entering a critical and exciting phase. Each rider is carrying more than personal commitment, they are helping bring alumni together in support of a shared legacy, a national milestone, and the future impact of the Colleges.
The team’s progress reflects the strength of the alumni community and the generosity of those who have already stepped forward. Now, as the riders move into the home stretch, every new donation helps build momentum and brings the campaign closer to its $150,000 goal.
Along the route, alumni and supporters will have opportunities to cheer on the riders, celebrate their commitment, and help amplify the impact of the campaign by donating, sharing the initiative, and encouraging classmates to get involved.
This is a powerful moment to show what our alumni community can do together. Let’s help the cyclists turn strong momentum into a successful finish.
Our fundraising goal
The Cycling Project is raising $150,000 in support of the Royal Military Colleges Alumni Association. Funds raised will be directed equally to the Museum Project and the Truth, Duty, Valour Fund—supporting both Colleges and helping preserve their legacy for future generations.
Why Give Now?
August is the BIG month for the team. The cyclists are launching a one-month fundraising challenge! The three cyclists who receive the greatest level of support through donations made by alumni, family members, friends, and other supporters between August 1 and August 31 will each receive a Royal Canadian Mint $20 silver coin commemorating RMC’s 150th Anniversary. So please support your favourite cyclist with a donation and help them climb the leaderboard!
And there is even more reason to give now: any alumni donations collected for the cyclists starting 1 August will also count toward their class cumulative totals for the Battle of the Classes—giving every gift double the impact: supporting the ride while helping each class show its pride and momentum.
Why your support matters
- Preserve the story: Help safeguard the history, traditions, and lived experiences of the Colleges through the Museum Project.

- Carry the legacy forward: Mark these anniversaries with action, uniting alumni and supporters in a visible tribute that endures beyond Reunion Weekend.
- Honour those who served: Celebrate the enduring commitment of alumni and the values the Colleges instill—leadership, duty, and service.
- Invest in what lasts: Your gift sustains projects that protect institutional memory and strengthen the Colleges’ long-term mission.
- Unite a national community: This ride connects Saint-Jean, and Kingston as a living symbol of one shared tradition.
How to donate
Your gift—at any level—helps carry this commemorative ride from Saint-Jean to Kingston, strengthens the programs and projects it supports, and helps the cyclists move from “almost halfway” to a full campaign success. Donors can choose to:
- Donate to a specific cyclist to sponsor an individual rider’s effort and training commitment here – https://www.rmcalumni.ca/en/a-ride-of-remembrance-and-legacy-le-tour-des-colleges/

What’s next
As the riders prepare for the final stretch, we’ll continue sharing rider biographies, training updates, and stories that highlight each cyclist’s connection to the Colleges—along with clear ways to donate to a rider or to the campaign. Please help us keep the momentum going by donating, sharing this initiative with classmates, and encouraging others to support the team before they cross the finish line.
