HE ACHIEVED TWO MASTERS DEGREES (KINGS COLLEGE OF LONDON AND RMC) AND ATTENDED THE TECH STAFF COURSE IN SHRIVENHAM (1985). CAREER HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE THE JUMP COURSE (1976), POSTINGS TO 5E GENIE (1978-80), QG 5E GROUPE-BRIGADE (1980-82) AND COMMAND OF 22 FD SQN (4 ESR) (1990-92), A TOUR IN CYPRUS WITH 3E R22ER (1979), POSTINGS TO CE GAGETOWN (PROD O 1982-84), CFRETS (G4/TSO 1996-98) AND CFSTG (G3/SSO OPS 2004-07) IN BORDEN, CFC TORONTO (DDLS 1998-2000) AND ITS EQUIVALENT (JSCSC) AT THE UK DEFENCE ACADEMY SHRIVENHAM (DS 2007-10). 3. CATHY AND BOB ARE RETIRING IN BARRIE TO BE CENTRAL TO THE FAMILIES OF THEIR FOUR CHILDREN: KELLY, JENNIFER, CHRISTINA AND ROBIN – CURRENTLY SPREAD FROM OROMOCTO TO CALGARY. THEY INTEND TO TRAVEL TO VISIT FAMILY AND THEIR MANY FRIENDS WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MASTER THEIR VARIOUS HOBBIES INCLUDING THEIR NEW HOUSE.

4. THE NEW YEAR S CHASER. A RETIREMENT FUNCTION WILL BE HELD 10 JANUARY 2014 AT THE ARMY OFFICERS OTTAWA MESS, 1600 – 1730 HRS. DRESS OF THE DAY/APPROPRIATE CIVILIAN ATTIRE. THERE IS NO COVER CHARGE. FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED AND A PAY-AS-YOU-GO BAR WILL BE AVAILABLE.

11920 Danny McInnis accepted a Forces Retirement Program (FRP) retirement from the Canadian Forces in 1995 after 21 years and with the rank of Major.

His last posting was to Air Command Headquarters where, at the time of his retirement, he was the Senior Staff Officer Plans. He and his wife moved from Winnipeg and they built their retirement home in her birth place of Drum Head, Nova Scotia in 1995.

After a three-year hiatus, Danny began a second career at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, first as a technology manager and later as the Associate Registrar. For nearly four of the fifteen years that he worked for StFX, he held the positions of Acting or Interim Registrar.

He recently accepted an early retirement from the University and is now officially retired in Drum Head.
