The 2026 edition of the RMC Alumni Association Ottawa Branch annual golf tournament took place on Friday, 3 July. We owe a huge vote of thanks to the staff of the Greensmere Golf Club who worked non-stop for 36 hours to recover the two golf courses from the Canada Day rainstorm (over 5”) that flooded and damaged critical parts of the property.
On the day, the event was an unparalleled success with new records being set for both participation (195) and fundraising ($31K). Our 160 alumni attendees were joined by some 35 family members, friends, volunteers and sponsor participants to round out the field.
The tournaments financial success is testimony not only to the record attendance but, even more significantly, to the generosity of our 35 sponsors. Our sponsors were recognized and thanked through a lunch time audio-visual presentation, which can be found below, and will also be available on both the RMC Alumni Association and Ottawa Branch websites and Facebook pages.
Thanks once again to Greensmere Golf Course and to all of our alumni, sponsor and guest participants. The significant funds raised will be used to support the current cadets, the colleges and their heritage as well helping select local veteran and community-oriented organizations.
