Ottawa Branch Events
Wednesday, September 3rd at 1130 at Hylands Golf Course (2101 Alert Rd, Gloucester). Dress is informal, no jeans. Cost is $20 for lunch, please bring cash.
We have chosen to stay at Hylands Golf instead of returning to the Officers Mess. We have informally surveyed the members who usually attend and a clear majority prefered Hylands. For many, it is easier to access and there’s lots of free parking; the food has been very good and the staff very accommodating.

Nous avons opté de rester au Hylands plutôt que de retourner au Mess des Officiers. Une majorité de vous a démontré une préférence pour le Hylands; plus facile d’accès et il y a toujours beaucoup de stationnement gratuit. La nourriture est très bonne et le personnel est très sympatique.

Celebratory Lunch – October 26 2025
It has been 30 years since cadets marched off the parade square at Royal Roads, so please Join the Vancouver Island Ex-Cadet Club (VIECC) for a celebratory brunch honouring the 55 year history of Royal Roads as a military institution (1940-1995). Reminisce over brunch on the Quarterdeck in Grant Building at the iconic Royal Roads University. We encourage you to bring a guest, such as a significant other or a friend! Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.
Time/date: 10:00am – 1:00pm, Sunday, October 26th, 2025
Location: Quarterdeck (Grant Building), Royal Roads University – 2005 Sooke Rd, Victoria, BC
Cost: $50 per person (incl. tax & gratuities and parking)
Dress:
- Ex-Cadets: Blazer and name tag (preferred) or business casual
- Guests: Business casual
Parking:
- Parking is available at Royal Roads free of charge. Parking lots P9 & P3 are the closest. See the Royal Roads website for more details. Please put a note on your dash that you are attending the brunch on the Quarterdeck.
