Following a recent policy change, the Royal Military Colleges Alumni Association will apply a consistent approach to the use of college numbers across all alumni communications.

College numbers are an important and longstanding element of the shared experience of alumni and ex‑cadets. In recognition of this, we will again include college numbers, where available, in publications such as eVeritas and other alumni materials.

This approach will be applied broadly to all communications. Alumni who prefer not to have their college number published may opt out at any time by contacting RMC Alumni Association at [email protected] .

This update supports a consistent and inclusive approach to recognizing alumni while respecting individual preferences.

    A good and sensible approach.

    Agreed, with Mike and Marc.
My number tells me that 8474 Canadians entered the military college system before me, going all the way back to 1876. It also tells me that I owe a few hundred beers to Mike Houghton, but we have agreed between us not to talk about that at Branch lunches…

I have come across a very long list of “RMC Classmates” on the internet which dates back a few years as the last year inscribed for some members is 2006…! It is 281 pages long and includes some 20,000+ names with additional info.
It includes cadets names by alphabetical order with their college number and year of graduation or departure from either college since some did not make it to their graduation year but had a cadet number.
That list or a similar one is probably in the club’s archives and should be updated and published.
It is an excellent reference for all to be visited.

Do we have a complete list of all college numbers? i believe the listing of college numbers lapsed in 2016, so any complete list may be missing 10 years of information..

I agree with this initiative. It adds to the uniqueness of RMC, and being able to trace back to number 1 is incredible. My grandfather was Class of 1917 college number 1335.
