2013 turn around year. Thanks to many

As we post this 47th edition for the year, 2013 is just about over. We realize that as one year ends a new one begins, one that brings with it new goals and challenges.

For e-Veritas this has been a great year, as we have made major progress in relation to our strategic and fiscal goals. In addition to breaking the 700,000 view mark for the first time, we are finally starting to show some progress in obtaining partnerships and sponsors.

Annual and lifetime memberships continue to grow at a steady clip.

We are pleased to report that eight years after beginning its operations, e-Veritas is financially sound and stable. Generating revenue was not always a priority. However, the realities to being capable of financially supporting itself are obvious – if we seriously plan to continue, to improve and to grow.

We are keenly aware of how important it is for e-Veritas that offers a service to the military college’s communities – including Ex cadets; current cadets & students; current & former faculty & staffs; and family & friends to be able to deliver a relevant and timely product. Our goal is to always have a little something of interest for every reader – every edition, regardless of your connection and personal background.

We are confident that we have achieved a good balance between providing a high-end service and consolidating a stable and financially sound plan. A special and most grateful thank-you is in order for our sponsors and business partners. They are listed elsewhere in this edition.

For those regular readers who are NOT listed please consider joining us in 2014.

In closing, we want to acknowledge the super support we have received from Bryan Bailey who took over as the Executive Director of the Club this past April. He has quickly taken charge of all the important elements related to running a successful operation. Bryan has accomplished this with a winning combination: high level work ethic; very smart; and a engaging pleasing personality.

We would be remiss if we did not thank our great team of volunteers headed by “jack-of-all-trades”, Victoria Edwards who continues to not only produce interesting articles; her outstanding research skills aided us greatly in a number of behind the scenes activities.

Joining Victoria on the MVP list are technical specialist, Paul Lystiuk; regular writers – Danielle Andela; Katherine Silins; Denice Zoretich and Mike Shewfelt.

Our go-to-photographers, Dan Ryan; Kai Zhao and Curtis Maynard put us at a new and higher level this year. Once again, the proof reading support provided by Al Pickering of the Bill McColl 1950s diary is appreciated.

Capitaine Éric Le Marec, Officier des Affaires Publiques du CMR Saint-Jean, nous a tenus très bien informés des événements du Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean au courant de la dernière année.

The excellent day-to-day administrative support provided by Mary Darlington, Isabelle Laferrière and Anita Chan helps a great deal in keeping us focused and being able to stay on top of the paperwork.

So from Bill & Rolande and our entire team  – thank you so much for being part of the readership. Also, it has been an awesome partnership success year and an awesome business building year.

For those who like us who celebrate the birth of Christ – Merry Christmas. To the rest – Happy Holidays and have a wonderful new year.

Look for e-Veritas 1 / 2014 in early January.
