Caption: The Canadian Forces CISM Epee teams were invited by Sweden to compete in the Nordic Cup. The competition took place last week. All the Scandinavian countries plus others around the Baltic took part.
The women’s team, comprised of ex-cadets, won the silver medal. Individually, Jackie Girvan (left), Maj Marilyne Lafortune (centre) & Capt Sarah McRae (right) were 5th, 6th & 7th respectively.
The men’s team, comprised of reservists from Quebec City & Montreal, won the gold. Individually, Cpl Boisvert-Simard (far right) took the gold, 2Lt Lelion (far left) won silver, & Pte Feminias-Metivet (middle) finished 9th.
The Canadian contingent was also given the Fair Play Award.
