URGENT – ATTENTION ALL OLD BRIGADERS
FINAL CALL FOR OLD BRIGADE ADJUTANT NOMINATIONS/APPLICATIONS
There were calls for nominations/applications for a successor to the current Old Brigade Adjutant in the Fall/Winter 2009 issue of VERITAS (published in early December 2009) and in the 07 December 2009 issue of eVERITAS. 3918 Al Roberts will step down from this position later this year during Reunion Weekend 2010.
Unfortunately, there has been little response to these calls. The deadline for receiving applications or nominations is in just a few days on Friday, 15 January. As detailed in the references above, all that is required by that date is an ‘expression of interest’. Candidates who are nominated or who apply directly will then be sent a detailed Statement of Duties. After due consideration of this document, should a candidate wish to pursue his candidacy further, he will so inform the President of the Selection Committee as well as providing the necessary additional required information. The Old Brigade, which will celebrate its 60th anniversary this year, is a vital part of the RMC Club. There have been seven Adjutants to date. To ensure a vibrant future for the Brigade, members who are committed to the well-being of the Club and are attracted by this engaging and highly fulfilling position are encouraged to step forward.
