The Atlantic Branch officially stood up at the start of this year. Our goals include the welfare of:
– alumni in all four Atlantic Provinces, especially support to activities that will continue the camaraderie shared at the Colleges
– cadets currently at the Royal Military Colleges
– the Royal Military Colleges themselves
The Atlantic Branch also provides advice, assistance, and encouragement to anyone wishing to apply to our Royal Military Colleges.
Membership in the Atlantic Branch is open to everyone residing in the four Atlantic Provinces who has been given a College Number by any of Canada’s military colleges. The Atlantic Branch does not collect dues from its members and relies on the annual transfer of a small portion of member dues from the Alumni Association. The Atlantic Branch encourages all alumni in the Atlantic Provinces to become members of the Alumni Association.
The standing up of a new branch is an exceptional opportunity for alumni to become more involved and to explore potential new activities that can support or expand beyond our current objectives. Please contact the Branch President Bill Gard president@rmcalumniatlantic.ca 902-865-6976 to discuss how you can do this.
The Atlantic Branch bilingual web site is located at https://rmcalumniatlantic.ca/. The slide shows on the various pages contain a good number of photographs designed to evoke pleasant memories for alumni and inform potential candidates about current life at the Colleges. The News page https://rmcalumniatlantic.ca/news/ is updated regularly about recent activities and issues relating to both the Branch and the Alumni Association.
The Atlantic Branch also has a group section on RMC Connect – CMR Connecte for posting of announcements.
Alumni are strongly encouraged to review the 2022 Arbour Report and the critical recommendations made concerning the Colleges (#28, #29). The Alumni Association is responding to those recommendations, and alumni contributions to this effort are most welcome. See the Branch News page for details https://rmcalumniatlantic.ca/news/.
Helping candidates to our Royal Military Colleges through the lengthy and involved recruiting process is an objective that is being re-initiated as the Covid pandemic winds down. We are especially looking for people to join the Branch Attractions Program who:
– can act as informal liaison through personal contact with local high schools and school boards
– are recent graduates to mentor candidates to the Colleges, making the recruiting process more personal and able to provide recent experiences
Please contact colleges@rmcalumniatlantic.ca if you are able to participate in the Attractions Program.
As a Branch with very significant geographic breadth, it is highly desirable to generate alumni activities locally; particular social events to enhance comradery. Any alumni willing to organize local events should contact Bill Gard president@rmcalumniatlantic.ca , or 902-865-6976.

Le Chapitre Atlantique s’est officiellement constitué au début de cette année. Nos objectifs incluent le bien-être de :
– des anciens des quatre Provinces Atlantique, en particulier un soutien aux activités qui perpétueront la camaraderie partagée dans les collèges
– cadets actuellement aux Collèges militaires royaux
– les Collèges royaux militaires eux-mêmes
Le Chapitre Atlantique fournit également des conseils, de l’aide et des encouragements à toute personne souhaitant postuler à nos Collèges militaires royaux.
L’adhésion au Chapitre Atlantique est ouverte à toute personne résidant dans les quatre Provinces Atlantiques à qui un numéro de collège a été attribué par l’un des collèges militaires du Canada. Le Chapitre Atlantique ne perçoit pas de cotisations auprès de ses membres et compte sur le transfert annuel d’une petite partie des cotisations des membres de l’Association des anciens. Le Chapitre Atlantique encourage tous les anciens des Provinces Atlantiques à devenir membres de l’Association des anciens.
La création d’un nouveau chapitre est une occasion exceptionnelle pour les anciens de s’impliquer davantage et d’explorer de nouvelles activités potentielles qui peuvent soutenir ou s’étendre au-delà de nos objectifs actuels. Aider les candidats à nos Collèges militaires royaux tout au long du processus de recrutement long et complexe est un objectif qui est réinitialisé à mesure que la pandémie de Covid tire à sa fin. Nous recherchons particulièrement des personnes pour rejoindre le programme d’attractions du Chapitre qui :
– peut agir comme agent de liaison informel par le biais de contacts personnels avec les écoles secondaires et les conseils scolaires locaux
– sont des diplômés récents pour encadrer les candidats aux collèges, ce qui rend le processus de recrutement plus personnel et capable de fournir des expériences récentes

En tant que chapitre avec une étendue géographique très large, il est hautement souhaitable de générer des activités d’anciens élèves localement ; événements sociaux particuliers pour renforcer la camaraderie.
