Firstly, please let me offer congratulations to you on your graduation from the Royal Military College of Canada from myself and the Class of 1984.  Your graduation from RMC is something you, your friends and family should be very proud of.  All of your hard work has led to this moment.

Secondly, as you leave the college for your first postings, I hope you reflect about this time in the history of our nation, particularly the efforts currently underway to provide our military forces with the equipment and support they so richly deserve. This is where you and your classmates will play a crucial role.  The world is undergoing unforeseen changes due to geopolitical forces.  Your soldiers, sailors and airmen/airwomen will require and look to you for leadership.  Your role is unique.  You will learn as much as you teach.  Make the most of these moments and grow into the type of leader that we all know you can be.

We are all very proud of you.  Welcome to the Alumni Association.  We are glad to have you.

Once again, congratulations!

Steven Gable

Class Secretary for the RMC Class of 1984
