Royal Military College Wall of Honour Acceptance Speech by Lieutenant Colonel (ret) Robert Banks
Through drill and class, and of course much more, RMC gave me the educational range, flexibility, determination, and confidence to think broadly in a way that allowed me to bring knowledge from disparate skillsets to solve a problem. In my case, the skillsets were engineering, flying and medicine. While I may have been average at each of these, it was the intersection of these skills, applied at the right time, when needed, that allowed me to think in ways that were different than others.
RMC Reunion Weekend Wrap Up from the OB Adjutant
I want to thank all of you for encouraging your classmates to attend this weekend, for your help in planning it, and for sticking with the plan despite all the curve balls that were thrown at us. Thank you also to the Alumni Association staff who worked tirelessly in the background to make this weekend a success, particularly Mary Darlington and Jennifer Jordan. This experience has certainly increased the pride I feel for the Colleges and the programs they offer. Yes there are things that need to be improved, and those improvements are important, but the smiles on those First Year faces told me that what are doing is truly worthwhile.

October Marks Women’s History Month
“While we have come a long way since the induction of the first class of women at RMC, I continue to advocate for women’s issues. Not only to honour the inspiring women who came before me, but also to foster an even more inclusive, diverse, and supportive environment for those who come after me.” – Officer Cadet Eloise de Grandpré, Cadet Wing Operations Officer and 4th Year Honours Psychology Student
