During a recent AGM of the RMC Alumni Association, a question arose from a member about the use of the post-nominal letters rmc. The ensuing discussion suggested this topic was potentially of interest to the greater membership and one perhaps unfamiliar to some of us.

Class of 1962 Alumnus Creates new Board Game – DIGITS
A number of this game are already ‘out the door now’. One in particular means much to James. The wife of a gentleman coping with early onset Alzheimers learned at a workshop that new games can enhance the quality of life for people like her husband. She called James after reading about this game in the Stratford Beacon Herald. Other games have already found their way to schools. And a few others have already been mailed to interested ‘shoppers’ east and west. A good start for what is hoped will be a source of considerable fun, excitement, surprise and reward for many.

Carr-Harris Cup – Mark Your Calendar February 2nd 2023
The Carr-Harris Cup is celebrated as the world’s oldest hockey rivalry dating back to a game on Kingston Harbour in 1886. The Carr-Harris cup, established in 1986, celebrates the history of the Carr-Harris family who have had numerous family members attend both RMC and Queen’s to play hockey.

Class of 1961 Decorative Painting in Currie Building – Foyer, Stairs & Baronial Hall
The Commandant, Commodore José Kurtz, spoke to the group representing the Class of 1961, the RMC Alumni Association and the College. She thanked the class for undertaking the project and the lasting visual effect it will have on this important building. Members of the Class of 1961 underwrote the cost of the painting over a period of about five years.
