Canadian Military Colleges Seeking Environmental Occupations for Operational Job Experience for Naval and Officer Cadets

The Canadian Military Colleges (CMC) are calling on environmental occupations and Level 1 Supervisors (L1s) to submit lists of Operational Job Experience (OJE) opportunities for Naval and Officer Cadets (N/OCDTs) as part of their summer training for 2025.

This year marks 30 years since the House of Commons officially recognized February as Black History Month in Canada. Throughout the month of February and all-year round, I am honoured to recognize and celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Black Canadians, including Black Defence Team members. Throughout Canada’s history Black Canadians have stepped forward to protect our nation by serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. They’ve contributed with distinction as members of the Department of National Defence and the Communications Security Establishment. They’ve often faced significant barriers and discrimination, but their resilience, dedication, and bravery have been crucial to safeguarding our national security.

The Canadian Forces College (CFC) in Toronto recently concluded Exercise Phoenix Warrior, marking the end of the first year for students in the Joint Command and Staff Programme Distance Learning (JCSP DL) 50. The two-week residency exercise, held from July 8 to 17, 2024, brought together approximately 100 senior officers from the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and allied nations.
