The closure of the Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean was announced on 22 February 1994, and its activities were scheduled for termination on 31 August 1995.
CMR, immediately prior to its closure, awarded bachelor’s degrees in science, physical science, general science and space science. It comprised the four departments that made up the faculty of administration sciences and the humanities: literary studies, management, strategic studies and social sciences. The College had become a full, independent university in 1988, qualified to award its own degrees.
