On National Flag of Canada Day, we reflect on the vision that shaped our flag, the institutions that influenced its creation, and the shared spirit it continues to represent.
Le Tour des Collèges – Cycling Adventure Celebrating RMC’s 150th and RMC Saint-Jean’s 75th Anniversaries
To celebrate these two significant milestones, a team of ex-cadets will be cycling from RMC Saint-Jean to RMC via Ottawa, arriving at RMC during Reunion Weekend on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The team will be known as the “Older Eighteen” in homage to the “Old Eighteen,” the first class of Cadets at RMC in 1876, as these cyclists will all be somewhat older than the original cadets!

A Legacy That Endures: Honouring Jon Jennekens (RMC 1954) and the Power of Planned Giving
The Royal Military Colleges of Canada has been shaped by remarkable individuals whose lives of service continue to influence future generations. One such individual is Jon Jennekens (RMC 1954)—an engineer, veteran, global leader in nuclear safety, and devoted supporter of the RMC Alumni Association. Through his legacy gift, Jon ensured that his commitment to RMC would live on long after his lifetime, strengthening the College he loved and believed in so deeply.
4th Annual RMC Hockey Alumni Reunion
We would like to thank those individuals and families who were able to make it to the festivities in Kingston this weekend to celebrate 140 years of hockey at RMC and the 40th Anniversary of the Carr-Harris Cup. We do hope that those in attendance enjoyed the activities that were put on for the weekend and had opportunities to meet other alumni, families and RMC Hockey supporters. To those who could not make it for various reasons we hope that you can make it out to the next RMC Hockey Alumni Reunion next hockey season.

According to the 2021 Census, more than 460,000 veterans live in Canada today. There are close to 80 veterans’ organizations across the country, many organized around specific units, branches, trades, or specialties. Those affiliations matter deeply, and veterans are rightly proud of them. But regardless of squadron, battalion, ship, or service branch, once we are released from uniform, we all share one thing in common—we are veterans.
