The Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security at Dalhousie University and the International Peace Institute’s Women Peace and Security Program (IPI) are pleased to invite you to a pair of online panels on “Gender, Childhood, and Community Engagement in Peacekeeping.” They will take place on 3 May 2022, between 13.30 and 17.30 GMT.
RMC Combat Weapons Team Update
On 9 April, the RMC Combat Weapons Team competed at the Sig Sauer Relentless Warrior Championships. RMC is the first international team to receive an invite and I’m extremely proud of these armed professionals, their conduct and performance was impeccable. Hard to believe that it took four years for this little idea to come to fruition, the long nights and persistence paid off.

26559 Alexander Landry, RMC 2016, receives Commander’s Commendation from NATO Allied Land Command
On 13 April 2022, Captain (Capt) Alexander Landry was presented the NATO Allied Land Command Commander’s Commendation by Lieutenant General (LGen) Roger Cloutier in Izmir, Turkey. Capt Landry has been posted OUTCAN to the headquarters in Izmir since July 2021 as a military engineering staff officer within the Engineering Division.

Deaths
With great sadness, the family of Bob Novitsky announce his passing on April 19, 2022 at the age of 74 in Vernon, BC. Bob left Vernon BC after high school, at 17 years of age. He entered into the Canadian military college system, attending Collège Militaire Royale (CMR) in St. Jean, PQ, for three years and Royal Military College (RMC) in Kingston, ON, for two, ultimately graduating with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering.
