Updated Schedule for Alumni Activities – Reunion Weekend Postponement

As a result of adjustments to the schedule of Reunion Weekend activities during the Period of Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, alumni are advised of the following changes to Reunion Weekend activities. These changes have been made in consultation with RMC to achieve a balance of muted activity level on college grounds during the Period of Mourning.

We recognize many alumni have made travel plans that cannot be changed at this point. While on campus activities have been delayed by one week, all off campus activities are still moving forward as originally planned.

Update on Royal Military Colleges of Canada Alumni Association activities in response to the Arbour Report

The Canadian Military Colleges alumni network is an incredibly powerful source of talent, experience and expertise for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), for Canada, and globally.  We will be engaging with our network in the coming weeks and months leading up to the review to explore some key questions, including:

Member of the Board of Directors

Members of the board serve in partnership with other board directors to provide strategic leadership and to act as fiduciaries in overseeing all activities of the Alumni Association as a federally incorporated not-for-profit corporation with charitable status.  Directors participate on board committees, and they determine the organization’s policies in areas of governance, human resources, planning, and finance.

Statement by the Royal Military Colleges of Canada Alumni Association Inc. (RMCAA) on the Report of the Independent External Comprehensive Review (Arbour Report) of the Department of National Defence (DND) and Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)

Unlike civilian universities, these colleges require demonstrated capability in academics, leadership, physical fitness, and bilingualism to graduate.  They draw students from all provinces and territories of Canada, allowing these young people to learn about the country they have sworn to serve.  The Alumni Association will work diligently to advance the cause of military colleges in Canada, and to explain the value to Canada of retaining them.
