National Day for Truth and Reconciliation / Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation takes place each year on September 30 and honors Survivors and the children who never returned home, their families, and communities. The date of September 30, which aligns with Orange Shirt Day, is an opportunity for Canadians to learn, reflect and participate in educational and commemorative activities. Formal public commemoration of the tragic, painful and ongoing impact of residential schools remains a vital component of the reconciliation process
RMC Alumni Association Supports September 25 Screening of Out Standing at the NAC
On September 25th, 2025, the National Arts Centre in Ottawa hosted the screening of Out Standing, a film adapted from Sandra Perron’s bestselling memoir, Out Standing In The Field: A Memoir by Canada’s First Female Infantry Officer. Directed by Melanie Charbonneau and co-written by Martine Pagé, this powerful screenplay captures Sandra Perron’s grit, resilience and her pioneering role in Canada’s military history

La fin de semaine des retrouvailles au CMRSJ
Les amis de la Classe de 1975, la plupart qui ne s’étaient pas vu depuis 45 ans ont donc pu se retrouver. Les participants ont été bien heureux du déroulement et des activités. Les retrouvailles de 2025 ont été un franc succès. Faisons place maintenant à la Classe de 1976 qui déjà se prépare avec effervescence.
Royal Roads Homecoming 13-14 September 2025
Thirty years ago, the last cadets marched off the parade square at Royal Roads Military College, and the doors to the college were closed. Over those 30 years Royal Roads University has developed and strengthened a mutually beneficial relationships with ex cadets, working with them to restore and retain the military heritage of Royal Roads. The Homecoming celebrations at Royal Roads on 13-14 September demonstrated vividly the motto of this year’s Homecoming, “Celebrating 85 Years of Royal Roads History”.
